Well I am all signed up for Online School! I am so excited!!! They have courses that are not offered at my high school. I plan to take a Gothic Literature course, possibly Latin for a foreign language, Egyptian Art History, and they even have an elective Forensic class for a Science! I know most 15 year olds are looking forward to going to school, seeing friends, and back to school shopping, but I am still much too weak and sore to be able to be at school all day, every day. I will still be in Orchestra and Speech at the high school so I will still see people on a regular basis.
I recently went back to work at Dairy Queen! I am working 3 hour shifts a couple times a week. I am so happy to be back!!! The 3 hour shift is all I can handle at this point and I am happy with that. I am still in a lot of pain and am very tired a lot, but I am better than I was 4 months ago. I know I will be starting some new medications to start hitting other co-infections this fall and I likely will relapse, but I am taking it one day at a time!
I sincerely appreciate all of the love and support we have received. It means so much to me to know that so many people care so much. This has been an extremely difficult time for our whole family. Recently my mom discovered a mold problem in our kitchen. That lead to needing to rip everything out, have it cleaned, painted with some primer, and we have to rebuild our kitchen. Her car wasn’t worth a whole lot since she had to sell her nicer one for my braces a couple years ago, but she sold her car so we can pay for all the stuff we need to repair and replace. I guess they also found the roof leaks and needs to be replaced. I guess they always say, “When it rains, it pours!” One day at a time and luckily we have the bathroom sink we can use!
